A work featuring a precise arrangement of vertical lines against a deep black background.
Primary color accents in intense red and cool blue pierce the darkness. In between, shades of gray add subtle nuances. The lines appear almost mathematical. Yet the result is a visual shimmer and a sense of depth.
It is a dialogue between stillness and dynamism. The colors seem to float against the black background. This tension creates a remarkable depth. The eye wanders ceaselessly back and forth between the colored poles. A sense of infinity and structural clarity emerges. The precision of the craftsmanship underscores the minimalist aesthetic. Every line is deliberately placed.
The result is a meditative effect that simultaneously exudes a strong visual presence. The surface becomes a stage for chromatic contrasts.
The painting is built up from numerous thin layers of paint consisting of high-quality pigments in an acrylic dispersion.
The black, impasto-like areas consist of thicker layers of pigment.
Unlike many of my works, KH#376 is painted on a standard, stretched canvas rather than on hand-primed linen.
The painted sides extend the work beyond the front.
The painting is ready to hang.
